Which US state should you choose for your LLC?

By the Growlane HQ team ·

If you're forming a US LLC from Pakistan to sell on Amazon or Walmart, you can register it in any state. You don't need to live there. The main differences are the setup cost, the yearly cost of keeping the company active, and how well known the state is.

Wyoming: the popular all-rounder

Wyoming is the most common choice for Amazon sellers. It has no state income tax, low yearly fees and a straightforward annual report. With Growlane HQ, a Wyoming LLC costs $199 (Basic) or $349 (Starter), with Starter renewal at $249 a year.

New Mexico: lowest cost to start

New Mexico has the lowest starting price in our range ($149 Basic) and doesn't require an annual report from LLCs, which keeps yearly costs down.

Delaware: well known, higher yearly cost

Delaware is famous for its business courts and is often chosen by companies planning to raise investment. It has an annual LLC tax, so it costs more to keep each year.

Florida, Texas and Nevada

These states make sense if you have a specific reason, such as a US address, partner or warehouse there. Nevada has the highest fees in our range.

Price comparison

All prices in USD, one-time, state fees included. Basic: state fee, Articles, EIN, Operating Agreement, name check. Starter adds registered agent, US address, bank setup help, reminders and priority support. *Yearly renewal for Starter: state fee + agent + address.

Our recommendation

For most Amazon sellers in Pakistan, Wyoming offers the best balance of cost and simplicity, and New Mexico is the budget choice. See LLC packages or ask us which state fits you.
